All set to head to The Outer Banks!

All packed up and ready to go early this past Tuesday morning to head out to the Outer Banks. An hour later we discovered it was just a practice run to see how fast we can load in and out. A solid 30 minutes is all it takes.

No, but really we had to turn around because of technical difficulties.

A bunch of stuff Bob said that sounded like Charlie Brown's teacher

leads us to a transmission sensor issue...if you want to know more about this just message him. I have no idea what he is talking about...but here is a picture.

Should we stay or should we go?

Well, we can't let a little setback crush our dreams. Bob is narrowing down the

problem and getting parts and fixing her up asap. Meanwhile, we are investing in a few comfort items to turn our jeep into a mini Rootless Rambler while our home-on-wheels recovers.

So here is to new plans! Keep an eye out for updates and enjoy a little about our last few weeks here at home base.

The last few weeks Bob has been super busy getting our shed moved from the old bar and relocating and sorting all of his tools. Bob the Builder rigged a tool chest in Burnadebt's basement to carry necessary tools. Don't worry it is screwed down.

But he didn't stop there! He spent lots of time watching the weather and wondering if Virginia is broken or just trying to get in the way of his projects. While out at The Folk Farm he repaired a garage door, a generator, and a chainsaw (and lots of little things here and there) But he didn't forget about his friends...he surprised some of them up at Another Round in his Rebel Messiah costume that he wore during their video shoot a few years back.

We also stopped by during the new hours to check out the new breakfast menu...we always wanted to offer breakfast at the bar but we were always too tired to pull it together. Bob ended up staying all day and stepping out of retirement to run lights for the show that night.

And if you have been following us on Facebook then you know Bob is looking for some bib overalls to go with his manure-spreading activities!

Sew on and Sew Forth

I have been keeping busy as well, still sewing patches over at Renegade Classics here and there while planning some of my own projects. I will keep you posted on my creations, meanwhile, I am really excited to find 5G!

If you know what this box is, then you know it is worth more than 5G. I have been struggling out here without internet or reliable phone service but today we walked into the right shop and got this little beauty that is already changing our lives.

We have had lots of online work opportunities but without reliable internet, we were stuck.

We have also learned and acknowledged that we suck at deciding where to go. Now that we have cleared that up we are going to let chance direct us. We made 4 envelopes of destinations to direct us when we are lost.

Speaking of lost, did anyone lose a vertebra? It finally warmed up enough for me to drive barefoot and this quarter-sized little booger stabbed me in the foot. Yes! It was on the floor of our car so if you dropped it please let us know 'cause we have made up all kinds of reasons for it to be in our car.

If you have read this far we want to gift you with a little photo dump of some beauty around the farm with a little side trip amusement to Busch Gardens, Williamsburg. (kitty photo credits to my baby person)
