Potty Talk

So far this week we have been teetering between our apartment and the RV. As we watched the winter weather creep into Virginia we decided to go ahead and get the RV out and set up a few days earlier. I am asking the universe why this winter she decided she would play winter properly. I recall many past Decembers when temps hung out in the 70s if not the 80s. But look at all that we will learn about winter RVing!
Considering the temps we have decided not to rely on water at the site and use the barn bathroom at the property. We have adaptations to look forward to of course. Things we will miss will be our bed, TV, our shower and toilet. I am sure we will adapt quickly without our cozy bed and TV but Bob likes to shower every day and I am a regular on the toilet.
Actually, my whole toilet issue is why we ended up buying a Class A RV...gone are the travel days where Bob searches endlessly for a clean accessible toilet for me. I know this is a lot of potty talk but we found out quickly that we are not alone in our general "bathroom" concerns as we scroll through all the RV groups and forums it is a very common topic.
A quick walk-through video of our path to the barn toilet.
Speaking of common topics, all anyone can talk about in person or online is this "winter cyclone bomb". You know the one I am talking about right? The one that has made the current temperatures of Virginia literally equal to parts of Alaska. Being unfamiliar with Burnadebt we were very worried, but she didn't let us down. She kept us steady in the upper 60s with very low humidity. The property even lost power for a couple of hours during the wind storm and Bob learned quickly how to get us going again with the generator. As he wandered social media we felt blessed as many of you in sticks and bricks had failing utility systems.
